The five-member multi-genre band from Brno, Jay Delver, began performing in 2015. Although its lineup has changed over time, the main figure in the band remains singer and composer Jakub Urbánek (piano/vocals/saxophone). The band's music evokes the soul of organic sounds from the 70s to the 90s, enriched with modern pop appeal, funky rhythms, and rock mojo infused with spontaneous improvisation. They cite influences ranging from Billy Joel and Elton John to Harry Styles.
In recent years, Jay Delver has been gathering strong concert experiences, including performances at Mendel Fest, Groove Brno, Beseda u Bigbítu, and Hradecký Slunovrat. They have also expanded beyond the Czech Republic, performing at the Nisville Jazz Festival in Serbia and a concert for the Czech Center in Paris, thanks to their victory in the Jazzfruit competition.
