A New Era Begins: Metronome Prague Joins Forces with Live Nation Czech Republic

The music event Metronome Prague is entering its second decade and taking a bold step forward. After ten years on the scene, it is joining forces with Live Nation Czech Republic, a global leader in live entertainment promotion. Together, they will create a new kind of music experience that will transform Prague into the heart of the European music scene in June 2026.

Metronome Prague 2026 will take place from 19–21 June at its new home – Letňany Airport – offering more space, comfort, and accessibility for all music fans. And the first announced name already hints at something truly special: the first confirmed headliner is none other than Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds!

This new era of Metronome will feature three main stages, a broader range of genres, a Food Festival, and a diverse accompanying program connecting music, art, discussions, gastronomy, and social topics. The aim is to create an environment where generations meet, ideas flow freely, and inspiration thrives in every corner.

“Over the past ten years, we’ve built an event that goes beyond the boundaries of a traditional music festival. Top music experiences, other art forms, and high-quality services, all connected with a visit to one of Europe’s most beautiful cities — that’s what defines Metronome. We’re excited about joining forces with Live Nation. It opens new opportunities and takes our vision to a global level,” says David Gaydečka, co-founder of Metronome Prague.

His colleague Martin Voňka adds: “Metronome is an event for those who want more than just to see a concert. We offer a space where music opens the door to new experiences. Thanks to the partnership with Live Nation, we’ll now create an experience that will define the start of summer not only in Prague but across Central Europe.”

And why this particular partnership? Robert Porkert, Managing Director of Live Nation Czech Republic, explains: “Our goal is to bring to the Czech Republic not only concerts but also music events with long-term impact. The partnership with Metronome Prague is a great opportunity to create an event with strong local roots that also opens the door to artists who were previously beyond reach.”

Metronome Prague is evolving – growing, expanding its horizons, and once again proving that Prague is a city that lives and breathes music and culture.
