MARIE APRIL & THE FOOLS

Marie April is a twenty-one-year-old Czech-American singer-songwriter based in Prague. In 2024, she formed the seven-member band Marie April & The Fools, whose distinctive sound blends jazz, soul, rock, and indie influences. The band quickly gained recognition on the Czech music scene, making a name for itself through performances at numerous festivals both at home and abroad.

In May 2025, Marie April released her debut album tangerines—a raw, emotionally honest collection exploring themes of growing up, love, loss, family, and the search for identity. Rooted in improvisation and a fearless commitment to unfiltered creative expression, the album earned her the title of “Best New Artist” at the prestigious Czech Anděl Coca-Cola Music Awards.

With heartfelt lyrics, genre-defying arrangements, a powerful stage presence, and a distinctive voice, Marie April is emerging as one of the most compelling new voices on the Czech independent music scene.
