ROSARIO SMOWING

Rosario Smowing takes us back to the 40s through the 60s with their Argentine swing. The seven Argentinians arrange swing, ska, jazz, Dixie, and rockabilly with mambo, bolero, and tango. Musically, they see themselves as a "rock big band" and their lyrics are inspired by the deep poetry of tango. These are written by the frontman and former punk rock singer Diego Javier Casanova, whose performances often evoke Tom Waits or Vinicio Capossela. Rosario Smowing and their music have long surpassed the borders of Argentina, touring worldwide. With six successful albums and over 20 years of band history, they are giants of the independent scene and know exactly how to captivate their audience.
